“Womanhood is a fundamental focus in Alina’s work. The artist believes that collective energy and support can transform the individual quality of life. The oil paintings in this exhibition explore the notions of relationships between women and question the stereotypical behavior norms. Multiple female bodies are intertwined together to capture strong yet vulnerable bonds. The artist reveals love, chaos, frustration and often refers to our forgotten internal relationships within our bodies. The female figures occupy dramatic scenes from spaces informed by dreams, memories, and hidden places within nature. Whether they share an intimate space collectively or exist on their own, isolated on the canvas, they share a common energy and similar values. An exclusive triptych painting dedicated solely to the sisterhood was exhibited alongside the new body of works. The inspiration behind the triptych are the women from the Stark family.”
